Inspired by the colorful spring and summer rambles on Wy’East (Mount Hood), I have drawn some of the flowers that line the trails and roads carving around the Volcano.

Columbia Lily or Tiger Lily (Lilium columbianum). The scarlet orange Indian Paintbrush (Castilleja miniata). The fields of Purple Lupine (Lupinus sulphureus ssp. kincaidii). And two of the common flowers in the wild that are not actually native to the area but were introduced, the Foxglove (Digitalis purpurea) and Oxeye Daisy (Leucanthemum vulgare).
